AN ARCHIVE OF CURRENT ARTISTIC ACTIVITY
UNE ARCHIVE DE MES ACTIVITÉS ARTISTIQUES COURANTES

ARTIST STATEMENT

In my installation practice, I create sensorial landscapes that are meant to provoke a subtle re-thinking of boundaries and borders of cultural, historical and personal associations. It is a delicate balancing act that requires a shift of focus in order for the larger worlds to be entered and understood. Despite careful and particular arrangements, most of the materials are not fixed permanently in place, so that the potential for disruption is always present. This juxtaposition creates a tension that highlights fragile and tenuous qualities inherent to the relationships between self and other. Repetition, accumulation and pattern suggest codes or language that are meant to be deciphered. These provide a basis for expression, interpretation and express a desire for communication.
